El puente de Oresund/The Oresund bridge

Aquí veis el puente que une Dinamarca con Suecia. Lleva un ferrocarril y una carretera.

Here you see the Oresund bridge which joins Denmark and Sweden. It carries both a road and a railway line.

La playa/The beach

Este fin de semana hizo buen tiempo. Asi que nos fuimos a la playa por al sur de Skåne cerca de un pueblo que se llama Skanor. Esta situado en una península alredador de 30kms desde Malmö.

This weekend we went to the beach due to the excellent weather we have been having recently. We went to a beach near a town called Skanor which lies on the southern tip of a peninsula about 30kms from Malmö.

No habia tanta gente. Dicen que habrá más en julio y agosto cuando vengan los daneses.



Una casita al lado de la playa. No sabemos si tienen dueños o se pueden alquilar.
Here is a small beach house. I guess the swedes preserve their modesty by getting changed in them.

El agua tenía una temperatura de 16oC. Suficiente para que los fuertes hombres de norte naden- para los escoces hispanizados, solo suficiente para meter los píes.

The water temperature was around 16oC. Enough to do a wee bit of paddling.


Vaya! El urbanismo salvaje de la costa también existe en Suecia!! Mira lo que han hecho aquí. La UE debería abrir una investigación sobre esta verguenza.

Lilla Torg - Malmö

Este fin de semana nos fuimos a Malmö para disfrutar el buen tiempo. Aquí estamos disfrutando el sol en una plaza que se llama "Lilla Torg" - plaza pequeña. Lucia está intentando averiguar como ha pasado un año desde nuestra boda.

This weekend we went to Malmö to to enjoy the good weather. We went to Lilla Torg which means the "little square". Not very interesting, but true. We had an outdoor curry to celebrate our 1 year anniversary.

Valborg

La noche del 30 de abril es cuando los suecos celebran "Valborgs". Celebran el comienzo del verano con hogueras enormes y un montón de alcohol. Se parece un poco (pero muy poco) a las fallas en Valencia pero sin los falleros, falleras, fallas y petardos - es decir no tiene nada que ver. Menos mal!

The of the 30th of April is when the swedes celebrate Valborgs - the ending of the winter and the start of the summer. The have large bonfires and generally get drunk - not a bad way of bringing in the better weather!

Después de mucho tiempo volvemos a poner más blogs. Siento por haber pasado demasiado tiempo.

En abril celebramos nuestros cumpleaños con una barbacoa - lo hicimos con un amigo del trabajo. No penséis que tenemos tantos amigos! Hizo un poquito de fresco pero hizo buen tiempo.
